Luke Harris

Luke Harris

At the age of 13, in the year 2000, Luke planted his first Ginseng and began the journey towards pursuing a working holistic forestry model. From the age of 16, he has sold small, select orders of botanical material on the side. He has received his Bachelor’s degree in forestry and upon Graduation in May, 2012 he began work with Eastern Forest Consultants. He did contract forestry consulting work from that point until moving to Oregon in December 2014. Over the winter he worked a temp job for Roseburg Forest Products as a tree planting Inspector until April of 2015 when he landed two timber inventory contracts which he completed over the summer. While in college he got varied work experience during the summer doing wild land fire for two more summers, an internship with the National Forest Service, an internship with Plumb Creek Timber Company and working with a land surveyor. He is currently working towards getting a Masters in Taxonomy.

Luke’s dream is to have a working homestead with a stand of timber managed using the holistic forestry model he has developed over the years.
