Mike Brabo was born and raised in a multi-cultural family that loved gardening in a predominately-agricultural area of California that later became Silicon Valley.
He studied Marketing and Publishing. In the early 1990s, he went back to school for Bible and cross-cultural ministry training, including study/internship in India and serving 2+ years as an evangelist, church planter and leadership training among Romania’s Deaf community. Mike worked with Joni and Friends disability ministry and served for 17 years in vocational ministry, including video production, American sign language interpreting, Biblical counseling and Chronological Bible Storying.
Due to cancer and health issues, he moved to his wife’s family’s farm in Missouri.
Mike worked 8 years as a full-time organic farmer, teaching, training and working with doctors to educate people on the importance of consuming nutrient-dense, life-giving foods.
“Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 3:12-14
“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” -Psalm 34:8
