We’re at a critical time.  Next week, the Beyond Off Grid team will be traveling to Alabama and Tennessee to conduct some important interviews for our documentary film.

After that, post production will begin in earnest, and we will only have about a month to complete the film in time for entering it into an important film festival that will help it get exposure that it needs.

For our project to be completed in time and have a chance for success in the film festival, we have an urgent need for funding for the travel and other costs of this trip, immediately followed by the need for hiring additional editors to assemble the film footage and complete the work.

Here’s a preview of some of the experts that we’ll be visiting:

Noah Sanders and family squareNoah Sanders

Noah Sanders is a farmer and homesteader.  He has been farming since age 16, starting out with a small chicken run on his parent’s land and eventually building his farm’s infrastructure and expanding his food production to include row crops, pastured animals, fruit trees, and honey, supplying his farm’s produce to restaurants and his local community.  In 2012, Noah published “Born Again Dirt,” a book encouraging families to embrace a God-centered agrarian lifestyle and family economy and to see the work of a farmer as a witness to God’s command for man to have dominion over the earth for God’s glory. Noah and his family live and work on their farm in central Alabama.

Geoffrey-BotkinGeoff Botkin

Geoff Botkin is an internationally-sought speaker, historian, cultural analyst, and filmmaker. He has been studying cultural change, geopolitics, and education for the last 40 years, and has been sought as an expert in publications, books, and films.   Geoff is currently the Senior Consultant and board member for the Western Conservatory of Arts and Sciences, a worldview think tank and cultural depository, producing films and materials that help families and culture changers develop long-reach visions.  Geoff and his wife Victoria reside with their family in rural middle Tennessee.

Franklin SandersFranklin Sanders

Franklin Sanders is an author, writer, speaker, investor, army veteran, and precious metals expert. Since the late-1960s, he has been studying economics and monetary systems, and since 1980, he has operated a gold and silver exchange business. In 1981, he began a 15 year legal battle with the federal government and the state of Tennessee to confirm that gold and silver are indeed Constitutional forms of money, a battle he eventually won.  He has authored several books about gold and silver investment and his life as an agrarian and family farmer. He also created and writes the Moneychanger Newsletter, about investments, markets, and alternative health.  He resides with his wife, Susan, their children and their families in Westpoint, Tennessee on a family homestead.

We’re looking forward to gaining key insights from each of these experts that will reveal the critical need for families to reduce their dependency on the modern economy and how to effectively make that transition.

We Need You

You’re part of this effort!  Here’s what we need from you:

  1. Support Beyond Off Grid financially.  We have recently published a robust list of supporter rewards, including some great books and resources to help you in your journey to go Beyond Off Grid.  We will soon be launching a member site for our supporters that contribute at a certain level that will give access to uncut footage and other great content, including the recordings of our upcoming webinar series that will feature many of the experts from the film amongst other informative guests.
  2. Spread the word and tell your friends.  This project will not succeed unless people like you help promote the project and get others to become interested in it and get on board the team as fans and supporters.  Some easy ways to do this are:
    • Ask your friends to sign up on our email list, Like us on Facebook, Follow us on Twitter, +1 us on Google Plus, and Subscribe to our YouTube channel.
    • Like our posts on Facebook so they show up in your news feed and Share them with your friends and in groups that would be interested
    • Forward our emails to your friends that would be interested and tell them why you’re supporting us and why they should too.  If you’re not on our list, please sign up in the sidebar or via the subscribe page.
  3. Pray for us.  A counter-cultural project like this faces many obstacles and your willingness to support us in your thoughts and prayers is an important unseen force multiplier in the battle we are waging to transform hearts and minds.

We will be posting periodic updates from our filming tour next week, so be sure to sign up on our email list in the sidebar on the right so you can keep tabs on our progress.

Thanks again for your support for this project and willingness to help tell others about it.  We are looking forward to reporting good progress in the weeks and months ahead.
